Greta was talking last night with Gov. Rick Perry, and she said it really well in the interview (at 10:47)... If something horrific is exported from across the border, there will be lots of blood on the hands of those who don't do anything about the problem. I say it's a matter of when, not if, and it's up to the citizens to be prepared for it. Unfortunately it will take another 9/11 type of attack before something is done.

If Government truly wanted to do something about the cartels & gangs invading the north, it would have been done long ago. If the Homeland Security department would quit hiring pedophiles to grope airline passengers and focus on what the real threat...

Congress has the power to make it happen, but they don't want to, and it's because they have a particular agenda.

    I have one solution:

    Article 1, Section 8, Clause 11.

    Letters of Marque

    Why not?

    Erik.

To the OP, it already has started. Phoenix is second only to Mexico city in violent kidnappings for ransom. There are plenty of border state issues in relations to problems just south of the border intruding into the US.

And this "beheading" just happened the other day in Arizona which is linked to Mexican Cartel activity: http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2011/...e_8335591.html

Speaking of tie up, that BP agent that was recently killed in Texas was told by his higher up to use "bean bag" first before using live ammunition. As it turned out that BP upper management has come up with this "insane" policy.

Well our government is putting boots on the ground per say but on the other hand implimenting rules of engagement that would put our agent in harms way even more. Political Correctness at it's best I'm afraid.

I agree with you that our government does not want to guard our borders. I remember back when Regean passed that amnesty bill, then Clinton did not do much to protect it either, then Bush as we all know favored prosecuting BP agents that does their job, and now with Obama -- we are slowly heading towards open border between Mexico and the US.
