    One Watch For Out There

    Hi,
I would like some experiences & suggestions on no-battery, water resistant, high visibility watches that can take lots of torture...

casio g-shock solar and atomic, you can get them for about 50 bucks on the low end. I got mine at Costco for less than that and its my everyday watch now for last 6 years. Hands down the toughest and most reliable watch for under $50. Never had a prob. Time is always exactly right and I've never had it run out of power or lose time. Requires zero maintenance.

Casio G-Shock sries of watches. G-shock or tough solar line you cant go wrong. I have a Tough Solar Pathfinder. Atomic clock, solar powered, Temp, Barometer, Compass, 100M Water resistant, world clock and tons of other features. Should last me quite a few years, and I am very tough on my stuff. Casio will fix older watches if they have problems also.
Some people will do skanky things for $25, and not all those people are crack whores.

I bought a ladies Fossil watch about 10 years ago.
It's been through all kinds of stuff.
Poop, daily washing, left if washer, hiking, fishing, digging in dirt, gold panning and to a Christmas Party.
But your not a lady, so never mind.

For me it would be a solar or self winding tritium watch.

                    Atomic clock
                    Dual analog digital display
re-sets automatically for DST (probably goes along with the Atomic clock option)
Tritium analog dials and Hour markers
                    Titanium (optional, but nice)
Solar powered (or Eco-drive or similar)

If only MTM would make a self winding black PVD Tritium oil filled Navy Seal watch.

I got back into the habit of wearing a watch in 2005 after Bear and I had a conversation about the fact that most people now rely on cell phones to...

Why, Fossil has watches for men, too:

Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

One thing... atomic precision is not that important in this case

MTM is the watch I want. The battery is rated for 10 years and I do not think anyone will be alive 10 years after teotwawki.

If only the Marathon came in black and looked better....
