Really awesome survival mini-drums 14 gallon "O" ring screw top

I bought one of these drums tonight to store some dog food in but they look great for everything else too. I could see semi-long term food and other thing storage happening in these drums. I picked up one local for 19.99 and they are very heavy duty. They are made in Holland NOT China and are food grade. The store has 7 more if anyone wants one.

Perfect size for my apartment and they look nice too.
            I'll pass, though.

I saw some similar to this at Costco the other day and they were about $15.

Nope but there are only a few in the store and you cannot get them anywhere else in the USA. Look 4 yourself. I might get a few more for myself so I will pm the info to those who need it.

There is a guy in Ontario that has 55 gallon food grade containers for 15 bucks. two caps on top, plastic container. Go to craigs list and search food containers.

I picked up a few and was very happy. He is out in the dairy area.

Give those giant barrels lots of thought. I dont know about you but I cannot lift 55 gallons of rice or wheat, water or bisquick. I can lift 14 gallons of rice or water.

I've been thinking about getting some of the 30 or 55 gallon barrels for water storage in the garage. So far I've just been buying the 1 gallon (clear, soda style) bottles but would like to have some more bulk storage.

As for the 14 gallon deals I'll stick with my 5 gallon "Homer Buckets" lined and sealed with mylar and packed with O2 absorbers. Seems cheaper.

That looks like it would be a great fermenter.

No secret PM's here to hassle with. In this month's S&S Off Road magazine is an add for water tanks. 250 gallon with lid $100.00, 500 gallon with lid $200.00, 1300 gallon $500.00 From the photo they look to be plastic of some kind. The ad says to call Dez at 619 445 0894
