Are these offered down here on a regular basis? My son would love to do something like this but he's only out here during the summer.

I did dirttime 08. It was amazing to be surrounded with people who had all kinds of outdoor knowledge in one place. I was always learning something that week during a class or just talking to the people there on break/lunch.

You've have to watch Alan Halcon talk about fire starting and see him do the hand drill. He's a firegod or something.

            Alan-
Do you ever do anything in the Bay Area, or can you recommend someone up here?

            Thanks!

              Ace, thanks for the accolades.

DT11 is going to be back here in SoCal.

Dooligan, I have friends up there who consistently do stuff near the beach, usually up in the redwood forest. While it is not a teaching thing, they do share knowledge and skills, moreover, they do abalone diving and open fire lobster cooking, etc.

That being said, I am trying to get them to find a location for an event, but a group the size of our dirttime events warrants special considerations as far as locations.

What we really need is private land, so we can really open up the scope of skills we can teach.

During our event in Wyoming, last year, we were on private land, so consequently, we had a shooting range, built smoke generators, were able to cut trees, etc.

Okay, we're both up for this. When do I have to confirm and pay by, and how many people will be there?

I've always wanted to take a class, but the cost is usually too much for me.
Thanks for posting, looks interesting otherwise.

Devil, We've always had over 100 folks. This year we're going to scale it back to just 100, no more. The reason is we want to provide a better learning environment for the students.

So far, we are half way there.
