CG's Bug Out Bag thread Inventory (consolidated in one master list) REVIVED

Since it seems you cannot reply to a thread more than 136 days old, I am reposting the list for anyone that needs a starting point to plan for their BOB/Bug-in/Emergency Preparedness kits.

As originally stated, please note that the list is not intended to detail every thing you need to get.

This list is intended to provide ideas for things you may need. It is only for planning purposes and you can decide for yourself and your personal situation what you do/do not need.

Take what ideas are useful and leave what is not.

    ORIGNAL POST:

I've been working several hours a night for the past week to consolidate the BOB thread ideas into one single list so it is easier to look at and plan. There are a lot of good suggestions, many of which were branded, so I tried to generalize wherever possible, with occasional brand references.

I have added a few things from other ideas I have read about as well (emergency preparedness kits as well as BOB's). Please take what you find valuable and leave what you don't. I do not think everything is necessarily practical if you have to carry these items, but valuable for preparedness planning none the less. I have loosely categorized things into groups to make it easier to read through and check off.

I believe this to be complete through post #566. If people find it valuable, I can update this list from time to time.

    Hope this helps....

Damn dude! That's a whole lot of time putting that together, good job.

Imagine how many bags and how heavy they would be if someone tried to put everything on the list into it.

Thanks for posting this again, I didn't see it the first time.

              Great list and breakdown.
The capitalist economic model is fundamentally flawed. It is not self sustaining, and can only maintain itself with constant growth. Obviously infinite growth is impossible, so the question is not whether the economy will collapse, but when.

Get your guns, ammo, and food while the stores still stock them. Prepare yourself now, because when the meltdown comes it will be too late.

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

Impressive list. So ... I am curious. Has anyone created a fully stocked BOB? If so, what were your selection criteria and how big is the assembled bag? Any pics?
