Your thought on SHTF prison/jail release

Just wondering what do they do w/ all of the prison/jail inmates if hell breaks loose,do they release them or just desert the facility and let them do whatever?

If Prison guards aren't getting paid or it becomes a situation of there personal safety they will fly the coup. It would be real ugly if that happened. I would imagine anti 2A people would also have a change of heart, to late I might ad. A question that might happen sooner is what happens when CA runs out of $$$$ ?

The guards will be home or bugging out with their families.
Won't take the inmates long to break out, steal some vehicles, and
      loot gun shops.

I figure that the guards will run off to the local mall and troll the parking lot looking for a date. Won't be many LEO types around to interfere.

You mean the cops aren't gonna take care of us for a paycheck when the SHTF, they'll be protecting their own families? No way!

It's already happening here in Fresno County and S hasn't exactly HTF just yet........
                I've always wondered this too.

I wonder what happened to all the inmates back when Katrina hit New Oarleans, I don't recall hearing anything about that.

Yup, I was going to say that this is pretty much happening now. Because of budget issues we're releasing the more "non-violent" offenders.

Of course they were "non-violent" when they went in but how exactly are they when they come out? Imagine not being able to get a job because of a record, or going back to the same environment that led you to go to prison in the first place. I'd imagine that a guy is worst off than when he first went in.

What do people learn in prison... that needs to be asked... so yeah, to a certain degree, I think that it is already happening.

I guess I should add... just look at these guys with a long rap sheet who are repeat offenders. There are way too many of these scum bags running around in the streets.

Heard this too, although maybe it's just wishful thinking by some that ended up on the rumor mill. I think it's a great idea though.

There's a wacky Congresswoman from the South that claims that 5000 inmates were executed during hurricane Katrina. Her name is Cynthia Mckinney, the Green Party Presidential Candidate. She's the one that hit a police officer because she refused to go through a metal detector.

if they are career criminals that will cause more of a mess when out I say do what you have to do to ensure your families safety. It will get ugly fast for those type of people I suspect.
