Carrying a rifle in a travel trailer

Just got back from a week long camping trip with the family. We bought a new travel trailer a ways back and this was our fourth outing. I'm looking for some ideas about mounting a rifle in the trailer (my trailer gun). We have closets in the Master were one or two would fit but seems a little too obvious of a place.

I'd like to do a wall mount with a trigger lock (I have kids) but all the walls are so thin. Anyone have some creative ideas? If you have and are willing to show pictures that would be even better. Thanks!
I will stand for truth even if I stand alone.

The last time I had faith in the News was when it was with Huey Lewis.

Maybe you can store it in the floor? Some trailers have storage doors that you walk on in the living area.

      This is very trailer specific....but....

Bottom of the main bed? There is often storage under the bed that is accessible by lifting the bed.

My trailer has a space above cabinets where they ran the led lights. Should be plenty of space up there, out of sight and away from kids.

        You have that space available?

A word of caution about keeping Firearms in Travel Trailers/Motor Homes/Campers. Non-Stainless weapons will develop rust much faster when stored in confined areas especially in colder conditions where Condensation occurs inside.

Had a acquaintance that owned a very nice blued Remington hunting rifle and was living in a 30' travel trailer. He ignored my advice to regularly wipe down all the metal surfaces with a good Rust/Corrosion preventative to protect the rifle. About a year later, he pulls the rifle out of the closet to go sight it in with me before Hunting season and it was covered in rust.

Always carried long guns in their case under the bed. Kept hand gun handy but never needed to use it.

How about one of these lockers, either underbed or maybe undercounter?

there's lots of different designs, with some that slide out once opened. They seem to be low-key, modular and useful for a few longguns, or quite a few handguns.

                    ^^^^ This

Any weapon being stored like that should be stainless, hard chromed, hydro dipped, or cerakoted, or similar. Blued and parkerized metal will rust. All metal surfaces must be coated.
