    Where are you gonna ride?
    New or used
    Family or single
    Fast or cruise
    Long rides or short runs
Do you know how to work on them at all
    2 or 4 stroke?
    Sit down or stand up?
    Budget?

I used to be heavily into jet skis. Worked for a few jet ski shops part time.

There are no gears on jet skis. The engine is hooked to the pump it’s a straight drive. You use the throttle to steer and go. Some skis have reverse feature some don’t. The reverse is simply a bucket that flips down and redirects the water jet propulsion.
4 strokes are pretty much allowed anywhere. Two strokes are more regulated to the point in some bodies of water they can’t even be used. Like Lake Tahoe.

Newer jet skis are big heavy and not very personal. Older skis are smaller and more playful imo. Newer skis can go fast out of the bix where older skis have to be modified to go fast. A heavily modified two stroke could reach 70+mph. Four strokes can do that out of the box. A lot harder to work on the newer stuff.

I have 2 550s right now and ride them here and there they are fun to ride but owning older ones youll need to to know how to work on them as dealers or most shops wont work on them.

Hmmm... I would like to own my own waverunner type.

My wife's cousin has one we all take turns on... but I'd like o go out for a few hours on my own without worrying about being a hog.

What are things to look at in used waverunner types? 4 stroke.

I like his a lot.....its a 2010 model I think. Great condition. Tons of fun. Fast.

No government deprives its citizens of rights without asserting that its actions are "reasonable" and "necessary" for high-sounding reasons such as "public safety."
A right that can be regulated is no right at all, only a temporary privilege dependent upon the good will of the very government
officials that such right is designed to constrain.
