Outdoor shooting in San Diego county

Can anyone recommend a (non-range) place to shoot outdoors in San Diego County?
I'm in La Mesa (east county) and would love to take the old model 94 out and shoot at some non-paper targets. Understanding you may not want to give up your favorite spot, feel free to DM me or otherwise qualify me as worthy

Do you have any buddies that shoot? Usually they will know some spots...
