    Camping

So, with all this chilly weather and rain, who thinks camping at the end of this month will still be chilly? I was thinking about Silverwood lake, San clemente State, maybe Joshua Tree or just in Stoddard Wells area or Barstow. I figure it's still getting 30s and 40s at night so it might be a cold spring break.

This is still the prime rock climbing season in Joshua Tree. If you don't climb go somewhere else and leave it for climbers.... lol

Chilly can be good for camping. It may help keep some of the people away.

Good time to use the cold weather jackets, etc.

      Embrace the cold.

      Cold good.

Cold weather camping is golden time. Most places are empty so you have choice of prime spots. If the cold bothers you crank up the heater.

I love camping when it gets into the 30s and 40’s at night; you just have to be prepared with the right gear

Right people and the right gear. We love glamping in the cold.

Yes camping at the end of the month will still be chilly...and thats a good thing. Keeps away city folks. So now is the time to visit usually crowded places.

Personally, can't stand real campgrounds. Best to find some BLM area.

And ironically going to Joshua Tree next week, buddies want to go rock climb.

I certainly don't mind less crowds and cooler weather. Summer camping is too damn hot sometimes. It should be a blast.

Cold weather camping = best camping.

                      Better campfires, better sleeping.

I love camping, but I usually go camping with friends, we rarely go out in early spring or late autumn. Basically, our season is May-September. We usually go for a couple of days, so we often go to the same places, because we didn't have time to see everything. We are practically new to hiking, so I often read portals about outdoor activities, like this one WildProofGear. There are many reviews and articles on how to choose the necessary equipment for camping for a particular season. I would really like to go hiking in the mountains for a week. But as far as I know it’s cold there even in summer. What things are needed for this campaign?

I love camping in colder weather. It does keep a lot of the comfort-campers and their all-day generator use away. I have a buddy heater that works really well when I'm tent camping. Planning a week up in the Sequoia Nat. Forest in a couple months. Will be cold at night still. Planning for there to still be some snow on the ground, too.
