    AAA battery mp3 player

For when you're away from car or house and can't recharge...

Will take a 64GB card, and needs no cable to transfer files....

I bought an earlier version of that player for my daughter a few years ago. It worked OK but had a horrible interface and would't read metadata right.

thanks, sounds like a bad model to buy then. The older Ipods (reconditioned with new front and back panels, and battery) are good bargains on Ebay if replaceable batteries is not important. The gen 5 classic was strong like a tank.

Meh, my iPod Mini with 64GB SD-card and battery upgrade was cheaper.

I've never seen an ipod with an SD card slot. Where did you find that? Or is it one with the internal SD card replacement for the original storage memory?

The old chunky iPod Minis used a microdrive. Exact same pinout as compact flash. Only an SDCard to compact flash adapter is needed for the conversion.

            Nice little DIY here:
Upgrade Your IPod Mini With Flash Memory - No More Hard Drive!: Instead of a hard drive, your new upgraded iPod will use flash memory with no moving parts for faster boot up & access times and lower power consumption. (I ran my iPod continuously for over 20 hours on one charge!). You will also get enhan…

Guide mentions only 2nd generations working, I've read both work.
