      Paying for a guide is more about the management of the game by the outfitter. They want a health herd with clean kills and 100% recovery......as usual if you haven't hunted under a guide you really should look into it before you give a third hand experience.....not to be a dick but not every burger is good....some take pride and know more about the animals they hunt than a PhD

        There are still millions of Africans living in the outdoors in simple huts made from vegetation. Lions and Crocodiles kill these peoples in large numbers every year. Of course hunting lions that have marauded their villages is done for survival and hardly anybody objects to that.

        But to these people, a lion that is not an individual lion that has been proven to be dangerous, well it still is their enemy and threatening their family. That's the way they see it and they act accordingly. I don't blame them a bit.
