Yesterday my daughter and I took a hike to Devil's Bathtub north of Thomas Edison Lake.
We did not see anyone until we got to the lake.
We did come across maybe a dozen people on the way back.
About 4.4 miles one way and elevation gain around 1500' topping out at 9180' at the lake.

The trail varied quite a bit in terrain, from densely wooded to meadows to dispersed big trees. There were two creek crossings which found a way to get my feet wet no matter how careful I was.

Here is a shot through the trees where you can see Edison Lake a ways off.

Here you can see a nice brook along the way. There were plenty of brook trout in there from 2-3 inches up to about 10inches.

Here is our first view of the lake from the trail.

Here is the view of the lake from the south end looking north.
Devil's Bathtub is about .6 miles long and .25 miles wide and the depth looked to be no more than maybe 10-15 ft from what we could see along the shoreline.

Here is a nice view across the lake through some trees.
