Current bedroll system is:
1) Kelty Cosmic Down 20 and Therm-a-Rest Neo-Air All Season air mattress total Weight 4bs. 2oz.
or
2) ENO Double Nest Hammock, Bug Net & Pro Rain Fly and Straps Total weight 5lb 6oz.

Adding a 3 Man Kelty tent, steel stakes, rain fly & footprint adds 8lbs 10oz.

I use a canvas bed roll, with a cabelas cot pad, 2 cheap wool blankets and a cheap Coleman sleeping bag. I'm good outdoors to about 0 deg. The cot pad is a bit thick but damn it's comfy

I've got an old Czech 80-20 wool blanket with a small fleece blanket and a queen bedsheet. In the process of making an oilskin tarp for the "cowboy bedroll". Still deciding what to do for a mattress. May just use my big Agnes, but am not opposed to finding a smaller cot pad that could stay with the roll. Shooting for something like this.

Have you laid it out to see if long and wide enough? Comblock blankets are notorious for being to small.

Yeah it's fine as a foldover and more than plenty in diagonal.

I would lay down a piece of tyvek or this stuff for ground cloth

I've got a really nice Pendleton wool blanket, a few 4 point Hudson Bays, a nice red wool blanket with a black stripe and a bunch of cheap military wool blankets. I've made different bed rolls with them depending on the weather and my needs at the time.
