Motorcycle Dual-Sport rifle and/or pistol carry????

I have a dual-sport motorcycle (KLR650). I would like to carry an AR rifle on the bike when I go into the woods/boonies. The rifle is a 16" carbine with collapsible stock, and it can (obvious) be broken down to ~25" length. I already have large pistol cases permanently mounted to the side and top of my motorcycle, but they are not big enough to hold the two pieces of an AR rifle. I need something relatively secure, so it doesn't fall off while on the freeway or trail, but it doesn't have to be permanent. I would also like something that doesn't have a rifle shape (no Kolpin cases). Any suggestions: What do you use?

Also, what kind of (shoulder) holster is good for dual-sport motorcycle riding? I have a Bianchi UM84 style shoulder holster, and a Bianchi Tuxedo holster. I also have some Serpa holsters, but not the shoulder rig for them. I am not looking for something that can be drawn quickly; only something that can hold the gun with relative comfort while dual-sporting and wearing full gear (protective clothing).

As a pistol holster Id go chest rig keeps pistol out of the way. Diamond cusom leather is the go to. .As fo the Ar thats a tough one.

If you wear a chest protector while riding then get an adaptor for your serpa and rivet it to that. HERE
Maybe look to a padded bow case to haul the rifle/ammo etc.. HERE
I use a serpa (normal drop leg config) to ride my WR and it has worked really well and the rifle goes in a drag bag (shoulder strapped).
      Some ideas anyway.
      Good luck OP.

I do believe they make soft cases that can be worn as a backpack.

Look at Skinner Sights. They have a bag that holds upper and lower in separate pockets. very compact

Am I the only one who wants to get a mount/rack fabbed so I can openly transport an AR or other long gun like some motorcycle cops do?

No. But you go ahead and try it first, let us know how that plays out.

I've thought of a used PD RT more than once.
