    CCW at Bear River Campground

    BRC

I've been searchig but don't see anything about Bear River Campground being a State Park or DFG area. Being a campground, does it automatically fall into either of these jurisdictions?
Of course I'm asking because I'm taking my son camping in Aug and want to CCW as normal.

      Bear River Campground

      OP,
There's nothing on that website indicating it's run by CA State Parks, and it's a dot com top domain. Must be a private business. It may or may not be on National Forest land; the boundaries are intricate and there are gaps within larger areas. It's not a state park. I don't know what a "DFG area" is, unless you mean a state wildlife area or ecological reserve, which it is not.

You could call the campground and ask (w/o telling them why). You could also get a good El Dorado NF map and/or call them at their Forni Rd. office and ask if it's on NF land.

Looks to me like it is a Placer County Park.

          found this little tidbit.
Not sure if LTC would be exempt.
          Projectiles Prohibited

Firearms, BB, pellet and paintball guns, bows and arrows, sling shots, and other weapons or projectiles are not permitted in the park.

The BRC resort linked in the OP looks to be a private entity.

This is a Sac County style ordinance in Placer. That surprises me. If there's no exemption for LTC in that law, then LTC is not exempt.

Well, I just got off the phone with Amador County Sheriff and as far as they can tell, it's privately owned and I'm gtg and "be safe".

                Heading up tomorrow
