Our Duaghters, in laws stopped by yesterday and gave me a like new Kershaw blade trader set, has six blades, I'd call the the kitchen set they've owned for years was in their RV but now up in age they sold it and I ended up with the knife set. It's pretty cool may end up in my RV.

Yep I like kershaws also bought the fixed blade in mid 70's. Its a 1030 I think?

I have that Kershaw and two more in that fixed blade series plus the Folder just like it, 1030, 1032 etc. Have one of each of the whole series other then the Kershaw Fillet!

I got two sets of those back in the 80's doing some horse trading at a gun show. One stays in my trailer the other is with my extra camping gear. They are great and have stood up to the years without a problem.Comment

That wooden handled Blade Trader is from the early 80's, way before KAI Cutlery and Kershaw got together. I was a Snap-on Tools dealer in Portland back then, and our branch manager and Pete Kershaw were neighbors. The Portland branch sold a lot of Kershaw before Kershaw went national with Snap-on and every other tool truck. I have that same same set and it has more miles on it than an old bus.

682beretta, I just went by what the case says and it says Kershaw Kai blade trader, the in law that gave it to me probably bought it new ill ask when I see them tomorrow.
