Best compound bow $300 or less?

Flirting with the idea of getting one for ****s and giggles. Field and Stream says the Bear Encounter is a good start.

My thoughts exactly. I would give the edge to the diamond (infinite edge...no pun intended). Both are great starter bows and very inexpensive to buy. I've tuned both bows and both have killed deer.

both bows are very forgiving with age and strength. great for resale if you plan on getting another bow in the future because it will go from like 20lbs of pull to 70 lbs plus the draw length is like 17 inches to 30plus so it fits a verity of people

A used Bowtech would be excellent. I almost went with an Admiral or Captain, until I found an inexpensive Hoyt Carbon Matrix.
Bowtechs are nice, but there were rumors regarding their quality (especially regarding the "military" series).
PSE makes amazing, inexpensive bows. The Diamond Edge is one of the most versatile bows around. No personal experience with it, but it looks like a fine bow.

PSE Stinger 3G is what I went with. Sight and rest installed for $299
You could find one used for much less. Install a custom string and peep sight and it shoots like an $800 bow

I have a Bear Encounter, small, and nimble; easy to adjust as well.

I agree with either the Mission Craze or Diamond Infinite Edge.

Ebay ebay ebay. I scored a great deal on a full kit, I needed to add a few things and change a few things up, but I bet you I'm still under $400 for a whole setup including arrows case release ect.. just make sure you know what weight and draw length your at

Check Cabela's they have alot of bows on sale some in the $300 range. I went with a Diamond Infinite Edge. I am not a fan of mossy oak this is one of the few if any bows in this price range that comes in black. Great bow you will not regret it.

If money is tight look at PSE Vision RTS at Cabela's $259.88! That is a deal for a decent bow that comes with extras. Sold out currently but maybe they will have more.
