OTF knives

I just moved to CA from Indiana and was wanting to buy a OTF knive (press button blade comes out from top). Based on what I am reading here, you can own these types of knives in excess of 2" as long as you don't CARRY ?

There are some nice MicroTech knives I've seen, however; I'm not going to spend $200+ on a MicroTech knife that has less than a 2" blade. One site I went to refused to sell and ship to CA all together.

Am I correct in interpreting this ? Can I legally buy and own one as long as I keep it at home and on my own property ? I'm still trying to find a site that will sell a regular knife.

OP do your self a favor and Google auto knife laws for California.Read it a few times so you understand it.
You will not likely find a shop that will sell/ship an auto knife over 2 inches in blade length to California.
The penalty is just not worth the wow factor. I for one like my freedom.
