    Damascus Knives

I've been browsing around for a new blade and keep coming back to Damascus knives—they make good ones. The intricate patterns in the steel, combined with the strength and edge retention, really set them apart from standard knives.
I’m debating whether to get one for daily carry or keep it as a display piece.
Anyone here have a Damascus knife they actually use regularly?
Would love to hear how it performs over time.

IMG_20250814_214414556.jpgI presented my son a Seki-city Spyderco Damascus when he graduated from highschool. That was over three years ago. It is completely suitable for normal daily use, but he is not chopping nails with it. Get a quality knife and use it.

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...TFLElyacoxo6hy Bought four from this guy at a gun show in Reno. Very personable, had a cowboy hat with a big brim and he also had a big handlebar moustache. Also had kitchen cutlery. I asked him how prevent them from rusting he wipe them down with cooking oil after washing them. As I recall his wife made the leather sheaths for the knives.
