    Bought another Cold Steel sword - Scimitar







    Another addition to the pile - for when the zombies come.

    Doubt it will last more than a few serious blows.

    As to the cost, a range day would cost you more than what you have to pay to get this piece of India made metal.

    Can't seem to find any videos like Cold Steel normally makes - for katanas and such - where they cut/slash pig carcasses and tatami mats - for this blade. Guessing this blade wouldn't do as well.......

    Its carbon steel so plenty tough. Hack away!

    PS cold steel makes very good tough blades but generally not known for handling characteristics. If it feels good in hand, then its gtg!

      Wait, never mind I was thinking of a shamshiri, not a scimitar.

      I did find a Cold Steel "Competition Cutting Sword" but it looks like a straight medieval European sword, not a curved scimitar or katana:
