    Cleaning ceramic sharpening rods

Hey fellas, I'm curious what you guys use to clean these.

I've read good things about Bar Keepers Friend...

    Thanks

Any scouring powder will do the job. I have had my ceramic stones since the early 80s, and I have used any scouring powder that was under my kitchen sink.

Comet cleanser and a green Scotch-Brite pad, the green pads have a polishing abrasive added to them.

That's what I was 'taught' back in the 80s by a guy who owned a cutlery store. He showed me how he cleaned his and I've done it that way with ceramic rods/stones since. Comet has been my usual primary. Haven't had any problems.
