The Sentinel is a good knife for sure. Just damn hard to open and close.

I used the recommendation somebody gave here and ordered a blemished Kershaw Blur from the guy in Oregon. Half full retail. It's a damn good knife.

Another vote for the Griptillian or better yet, a buyout for a few bucks more.

        WTB used AK MFER.

I wouldn't say hard to open, maybe not easy with one hand.
And the liner lock does push the opposite way many folks are used to. I don't even notice it anymore and like it.
Also, such a smooth knife in your pocket, not an edge anywhere to put holes in your pocket.
Oh, and it has tweezers and a toothpick.
It's been a favorite for me.

I picked up a Sarge folder for $75. Seems like a decent knife, strong and has a decent blade.

The dynamic lock is a mechanism providing incredible strength when the blade is fully opened. A pin sits across the width of the handle and is seen on either side as a stud. When the blade is opened the pin sits in the groove of the tang locking the blade into place. To release the blade, easily pull the pins up using your thumb and index finger. The 2.75 modern sheepsfoot blade is manufactured with D2 steel that is high carbon, high chromium, and high-end. This everyday carry knife includes a pocket clip strategically placed at the bottom of the handle so that the ambidextrous thumb studs are easily accessible for quicker access to the blade. This knife is one of a kind!

The only knife under 100 that I occasionally carry is Sog Aegis - it's a worthy edc imo...

I have all the Sogs in OP pic - like 'em all (used a trident tanto to help skin a deer I shot - its the only extra knife around at the time)... they are all good options, in the under 100 category.

My favorite EDC. Super lightweight and have used it diving before. If you shop around, you can pick them up for $100 to $120.

You mean, 'utility knife' (box cutter)?

I EDC a Cold Steel Recon I and Tri-Lite VI.

I've moved away from SOG Tridents after they get used a lot and safety gets loose and blade deploys in my pants. The spring assist on the Tridents also get weaker in time.

Fortunately never got cut by the Tridents; unwanted blade deployment in my pants hasn't happened with my Cold Steels. I think Cold Steel holds edge better than my SOG Trident did. The Tridents safety also slows down self-defense deployment.

I own an Opinel and respect the hell out of it for its simplicity, but man, the locking mechanism makes me nervous.
