    custom leather scabbard for sword

I need/want to buy a scabbard/sheath for a sword I won in a raffle. Any idea on where to buy and possibly how much? I see a ton on Etsy but I get the feeling they are more for Larping and cosplay.

photo of the sword for reference.

None of my posts are serious or real, nothing I post is legal advice.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis

Is there any way to contact the maker and ask for a recommendation?

Ya might get lucky here, OP:

Agincourt Sword Sheath-Brown - Genuine Leather sheath for your favorite Medieval sword. Overall Length: 28in Width at Throat: 2

Otherwise, try Ebay or Amazon - "Leather Sword Sheath" (or "Scabbard")

Are you going to use yours for combat and that is why a larping / cosplay scabbard won't work?

It 100% is a real sword and insanely sharp. I would imagine that the Larping grade scabbards would get sliced up when pulling it out. Or it would blunt it since the larping swords aren't sharp. Maybe I'm wrong, not too sure how those guys roll.

This is what I imagine when buying something off of Etsy.

I contacted them once before, took a few months to get a reply. I think they are kinda hipster-ish. Not too sure.

How much is that thing even “worth”? A nice custom leather scabbard might very well exceed the value of that toy. What are you seriously trying to accomplish? I can’t see any other reason for that besides larping. Anything that fits should last you a lifetime of imaginary use.

TOY Why to hear him talk that is a killer weapon capable of slashing it's way across most of SF and not even tiring him. Enough energy to have several cold glasses of mead when done with the slashing.

Ps It is a nice looking sword.

Spiffy - see https://longshiparmoury.com/portfoli...f-joan-of-arc/ the detail there, plus the picture, should help a scabbard maker.

ETA - wait, wait - you won the KnifeRights raffle? If you have the $$$, look here: https://todsworkshop.com/collections...word-scabbards

Ask here..https://sbg-sword-forum.forums.net/. A proper scabbard will have a wood core and be leather covered.
