Lefty EDC folder

I've been perusing the blades section and didn't see want a was looking for.
I'd like to spend $50-$75 on a black folder. I would prefer something with a drop point, but doesn't have to be, but not looking for a tanto either. Right now I have a 110 in the sheath, but the sheath is getting pretty worn down and so it might be time for an upgrade. The blade would need to be lefty friendly.
So far I have looked at the OKC rat 2, the sog flash, and the Kabar dozier. Not looking for anything tacticool, but something relatively "normal" looking. I would love to buy a Griptillian, but that's a little more than I want to spend.

Check out the CRKT line of knives. I have a ton of them. Not the most expensive, but you get a great value. Also Spydercos, and IMNSHO Cold Steel knives are the sharpest out of the box and tremendous values.

I stopped counting at 400 plus knives and have tried a little of everything, but in the price range you specify one of the above should work for you.

Start browsing at Knife Center of the Internet and see what you find. On the higher end I bought some Zero Tolerance (Kai cutlery) assisted opening stuff from them that I love.

Do yourself a favor and get a Mini Griptillian. Last EDC you'll buy.
I abuse my Benchmades and budget folders(Kershaw, CRKT, etc). My Benchmades don't have a scratch while the others have dents.

But from your choices, OKC rat 2. Better D2 steel. Aus8 is soft.

Black one is over your budget but I'd go for Satin anyway... love Axis on a Benchmade... only thing they do well IMHO.

Looked at the Kizer Gemini in black, which looks pretty good at $65. WHat steel would you recommend for CRKT knives? Didn't see too much vg10?

Emerson, Benchmade and Zero Tolerance clearly up another level.

Also, Spyderco. I could get by with only ZT personally, but there are a lot of Spyderco I love and a few Benchmades. Benchmade is definitely not my favotirte, but I just bought one that is my only incoming blade. A 530. I do like Cold Steel, never liked CRKT for whatever reason... I just think about them like I regard Big 5 stuff.

Absolutely, should have mentioned Spyderco again; they have a bunch of models in VG-10 and better steels.

I understand the perception about CRKT but they are a cut above Big 5, which is mostly S&W cheap Chinese. Lots of CRKT are also made in China, but they are good quality and have great customer service if anything goes wrong. The Kit Carson designed M-16 line with the Carson flipper and Lawks lock are great deals and very strong.

Plus one on the Spyderco. Get a Delica or Endura depending on preferred size, and you will never look back.

Absolutely the most lefty/righty friendly, good ergonomics and good steel.

I like the benchmades and they are also ambidextrous, but for most of my uses, I find that the Axis locks are susceptible to getting gummed up and they are hell to re-assemble if you try and take them apart for cleaning, believe me

Still been pursuing options and just receive a Boot Barn Gift Card and am tempted to spend it on a Zero Tolerance knife.
I notice they have 0350, the 0770cf, and the 0450cf. Any thoughts on which would be the best?

Nice thing about the gift card is they will match any price except for Amazon and ebay (too bad because the 350 is 110 on amazon). I was able to feel all three and the lock on the 450 makes it impossible for me to grip and open as a lefty. I like the weight of the 770, but the feel of the 350.
They also have Kershaw skyline. How would that compare to the ZT knives?

The 0450 is a nice little flipper for shorts in the summer or slacks... definitely prefer the big brother 0452. Not a huge fan of the 0350 or Onion shapes... I’d go with a 0566 in that range. I did have and carry an 0350 and gave it away to a friend who loved them. 0909 and 0801 are better than all those for using and carrying IMHO.
