Have had my Zero Tolerance 0350 for about 8 years now. SOLID and cant go wrong.
I also use a Kershaw 1812 for lighter and low profile work.

I just picked up a kershaw link for $38 and it is very similar to my zero tolerance. USA made. only draw back is 420 high carbon steel but you should definitely check it out.

I have had both Links or rather the two tanto variations (FRN, Aluminum)... still have the aluminum scaled one which is more slippery, but slim.

Another down-side might be the assisted opening if someone is looking for pure flipper action. Good knives. Some ZT's like the 0350 and 0566 are also assisted.

My brother has one of those and loves it. He cant really flick it open, but he uses it almost every day for something or other.

I just bought a Zero Tolerance ZT0350 and it is great. It replaced my Kershaw.

I agree with everything you said. I used to use my zt 0350 and really like the speed safe so I wasn't really thinking about is being assisted but some people might not like it. I tend to prefer it The 0456 had been calling my name lately though. I stand by my recommendation though it's a lot of knife for the money as is the dividend which is like a super sized leek. I hated the leek it was small and slippery and I couldn't get a good price on the grip. I ended up giving it to a girl I'm friendly with.

I have about a dozen knives that I switch out. The Volt is the cheapest one, but is my favorite!

I wonder what the $39 model is like. I wasn't too impressed with their fixed blade line. WE Knives is pretty cool.

I'd give one of these a shot with ceramic ball bearing pivots and D2...

I just got the Benchmade Vector. My first "good" knife. Bigger and a littlemore than the OP asked about, but I am very pleased.

Pretty cool... that's the way Benchmade should have done a bunch of Axis Locks ages ago. Now maybe they can make one around $150.
