Howdy, I found this at a flea market in Roseville CA and grabbed it for $35. On the blade at the hilt it says US and below that CAMILLUS. I love this knife, and despite my searching I cannot find a sheath/knife combo that Camillus has made. So, looking for rough date of make and any history.

80's Mark 2 5684. Specifically because of the camo sheath which only came with the Mark 2 in the 80's. If it's original to the knife. If not knife could be from the 80's 90's or 2000's.

Any stamp on the pile side, opposite side from the Camillus Stamp.?

I'm pretty sure Camillus made more KaBar knives than any other mfg but that sheath is a modern after market the original would be leather. Or at least I've not seen one with that sheath.
Do a google search for Camillus lots of info available

Camillus offered that sheath with the Mark 2s in the 80's.

Thanks guys. I looked at the knife under a fingerprint glass, and can find no other markings in the knife. The sheath is held together by stitching and brass rivets of sorts that have two prongs on the backside of the sheath. The sheath does have a small hole at the bottom that would allow for a leather lace.

That is all I can find.

I was thinking that. The handle is smooth, like it's been held a lot, but smooth and not rough or worn at all. It seems coated.

Not sure what to make of it.

That's the sheath that came with my crappy 80's survival knife my dad bought for me off the tv.
