Need help identifying

Long story short I got this knife from my grandfather after he passed. Looks like a pistol and it feels pretty solid. The only markings on it are NOMAD and 1080. It's a pretty cool knife but I just can't find any history on it. Has anyone on here seen anything like this?

Wow that is close! Although as Librarian stated the clear markings are different. I would believe this knife is a copy but it is a high quality one. All edges are well finished and the knife is very very sturdy.

Yup, I'd say it was probably from one of the knife companies from Seki Japan that made the same run for Kershaw. Had Kershaw 22cal myself about 20 years ago.

Ok as an addendum. Kai Cutlery owns Kershaw and has large presence in Seki Japan.

So its a Moki, that was subcontracted to Kershaw.. but marked by neither? I certainly agree about the sheath (or the way this feels or works a holster) it does feel and work really really nicely!
