Not my idea and I give full credit to whoever came up with it. Found it in several forums online and decided to make one. It all starts with a pipe clamp. If you have a welder and some metal working tools you can make this in no time(the ones I saw didn't weld anything really). Although I understand some of the negative comments this may generate, I know that it works for me, tried it on several different bows and for quick tuning and string swaps it will do the trick in my opinion. Use at your own risk of course, just thought I'd share what I've found.

Nice work, man. ArcheryTalk.com has a bunch of different DIY presses, some look kinda sketchy. Every time I see one of that design I wonder about the bow tipping one way or the other. Do you see an issue with that?Comment

We put a plate on it to throw in in a bench vice for stability of the press. As for the bow, the second it recieves pressure on the limbs it holds pretty steady. I plasti-dipped the fingers of the metal limb plates for a rubbery grip, seems to help. For the price can't beat it.Comment

Nice clean work on those fingers that are welded in place! What kind of/thickness steel are they?
I know 50 bucks is 50 bucks, but I just bought that bowmaster and use it for everything. Especially since I can keep it with me out in the field "just in case".I fly everywhere backwards.
