I thought Midway gave options for shipping. If it was a small bag of parts wouldn't USPS First Class have been the cheapest?

Maybe they don't offer that anymore.

I selected the cheapest shipping choice available. $9.50 on a $30.00 purchase.

        Shipping has gotten crazy
The thing I hate more then high shipping is slow shipping.

          Outragous Shipping!

I hear you Pal! I ordered a sling from I.O. Inc and they charged me around
$12 and change to ship it to me from North Carolina to So Cal. Why the &$#* didn't they just drop it into a USPS Priority box for $8.95? Certain things like
ammo and flammable sprays obviously have to be sent UPS ground, but
slings and other parts that can't catch on fire? W.T.F.? Shame on the shipping robbers that lock you guys into this highway robbery! Your customers deserve to get the lowest price on shipping. The seller should always be able to ship to the customer for the lowest possible price.

Thing is these businesses are marking up the UPS/USPS shipping costs. I made a work related purchase to be shipped via UPS. I compared the shipping charges this vendor was going to charge with what the UPS website showed and found the company was adding 40% to the actual shipping cost. I called them with my UPS account number and told them to charge the shipping to my UPS account, so they couldn't jack the cost.

Yeah and alot of places get very very good shipping discounts
at my work we probably pay about 55% of what you could get going to fedex

The best deal on shipping is regular old USPS priority mail. It is cheap and gets there in 3-4 days max cross country. 2-3 west coast. Beats UPS and Fedex but you can't get ammo. Buy from vendors who offer USPS.

I expect one reason is ups/fedex picks up and post office does not --

Shipping has gone up due to fuel costs. Remember that when you are scouting for the cheapest deal available that shipping might make you rethink and buy it locally and help support your local gun shops etc. They cannot always compete against internet based mail order places. Eventually you will be without gun shops and have to pay what they tell you to. I mean here in Long Beach we are without gun shops now...

How long before any gun/ammo components will be illegal to mail?
