    Eley 22lr rifle match Ammo

Looking for some to shoot in my 10/22. I don't need a brick of 500 and don't want to spend .40 cents a round. If anyone has any to sell at a decent price let me know. Thanks

If you're looking for Eley Tenex, 40 cents a round is less than normal retail before the shortage. Sorry if you didn't know that.

          Not sure

I had no ideas such a small round could cost so much money

Once you hit the level where every little bit makes a difference and you want to take home a gold medal, you pay the price for the best stuff you can get. Even a 50 round box of plinking .25acp costs about 40 cents a round. It's not about size. It's about quality and supply.

BTW, there are less expensive types of Eley out there. So, you don't have to spend that much (except for a test box) until you can tell the difference through your rifle. Also, always wear eye protection when shooting. I only say this because, back in the 80's I was shooting at a private club I belonged to and ended up with powder burns and shrapnel in my eye while shooting some Eley that CMP had sold left over from the '84 Olympics (or so I was told). This was being shot from a RH bolt gun and I'm a lefty. So, while the port was closed, it was still right in front of my eye when the case head ruptured. It wasn't fun for me but, I was shooting right next to a MD.
