I'm in the market to buy an SKS, preferably a Chinese, Russian, or Romanian, bayonet included and with the original stock--none of that funky looking Tapco furniture.

Where are you located? I spoke to someone this morning who wanted to sell his Chinese SKS plus 1000 rounds ammo. He said his father gave it to him when he was 16 (about 16 years ago) and it has been sitting in his safe.

If you are bitten by the SKS bug I'd consider getting your FFL03 and COE. The local market for good milsurps is iffy and pricey. Most of the great deals I got were online and they still ship right to my door, just have to register them, which you will too regardless of what you buy.
