    WTB old bolt action (cheap)

Looking for a cheap older bolt action. Prefer it to have a long barrel, be an old military service model, and ugly

Would consider the following: (the uglier the better as long as it fires)
    Springfield 1903 in 30.06
    Mosin-Nagant any style in 7.62x54
    Turkish Mauser 8mm
    K98
    G88

Looking for something I can strip down, clean up, refinish, shoot, and tuck in the safe. It doesn't have to be super old as long as it is in a heavy caliber and one that is readily available like the 30.06, 7.62x54, or 8mm Mauser. I would be open to any model or year. It doesn't have to be C&R as I am perfectly capable and willing to do DROS at an FFL

I am hoping to stay around $100 but can go up to $150

    Always open to counter offers

call, text, email or send smoke signal

Best price I found for a Mosin nagant was $123 shipped for a type 53 carbine and that was on buds gun shop. (I ordered this one and it got here in 4 days shipped the same day.)

Classic firearms has a "b-grade" mosin 91/30 (full length) for $99 plus shipping (I was quoted $25 in northern cali)

but the problem is cali now demands dros and ffl taxing for longarms so expect to add at least $55 as dros is $25 and feds charge your ffl $30 (according to my ffl who only charged me $40). all in all I spent just under $200 after fees and taxes.

thanks johnsack2001, I have seen the mosins on classic arms from a link when i was searching through another thread. Those are a good deal and I may end up with one, but those are a little cleaner than I was looking for as I want to sporterize what I am looking for so I dont want to mess up something too nice. I have a 9130 and an m44 so I am considering picking one of those up to "bubba"

I found an old beat up 1903 a3. And it is beyond rough. Stock is warped and unusable, bolt is crusty barrel is a little crusty but the bore is clean and it will prove to be a good project gun. If anyone knows where I can score some parts for this, I am all ears. Could use a stock, and mounting screws for sure.
