The P22 isn't a bad gun. It is however a lot smaller than most other 22's. I really like the feel of the sr-22 and m&p22. Might end up pickin up a m&p if I can't find the sr-22 soon.

        Thanks for the recommendation though!

FYI The slide on the Walther is made of ZAMAK (zinc). Not a material typically associated with quality firearms or longevity

I own the SR22 but im not selling, its my wife's favorite plinker. Her hands are small and it fits her well. She shoots amazingly accurate 4" groups at 7yrds with maybe 1 of 30 rnds outside the small target circle, about 700 rds not one malfunction once broken in (first magazine i ever loaded did have 2 extraction malfunctions but after that nothing)

I also own a M&P40 and M&P40c and looking for a M&P shield 9mm CA edition. SO I strongly encourage S&W products. The M&P22 is probably a better gun than the ruger but it has that pesky plastic thumb safety but it did feel more sturdy and more substantial, easier to target imo. The ruger is small and light making it a decent pocket carry CCW or pocket gun while hunting/fishing/hiking. I have been considering it as one of my 3 CCW guns, another reason Im not selling, because its so small and light, but .22LR... is so teeny... unless you are shot 5 times in the head then it's irrelevant

I PMed the guy a few days back but he hasnt been online for a week now. I did however hear that the SR22 is about the same size as the P22. The walther did feel a little small in my big hands, but it was fine for my wife.

We did get to look at a M&P22 and she really like that. The spring and slide was like butter on that thing and having a full frame I really like. I think i might jump ship and pick up a S&W now. Im mainly looking for a .22 for first time shooters and plinking. My wife and I both have 9's but ammo starts to add up after awhile. The 22 we shoot now is my grandpas MKII but I dont want to keep borrowing it and being held reliable for something that isnt mine. Another thing is CCW isn't allowed here in SB County so unless I move counties, I wont be able to get a permit to carry legally.

I do appreciate your help. I been reading through reviews and whatnot on other forums, but you've given me exactly what I was looking for.

There is M&P shield in the FS section but its in .40
