Boxer,
This is the NF that I told you about yesterday. I know it's more than you want to spend but, it is a great scope. BTW, I've never seen this exact one nor have I had any contact with the seller so, I'm not pushing this sale. I'm just pointing you towards an excellent piece of glass. If you want to look through a NF or two, PM me and you can look through my 5.5-22 and my 8-32.

My Daughter's ex-boy friend is USMC (Scout Sniper) and Schmidt Bender is the brand they use, very durable, clear picture, and his was fixed 10X. He and I are still buddies even though he and my Daughter have spilt. Similar interests.
Specifications should be around 3-9x40, also like the Swarovski ZF, or Zeiss Diavari.
Parrot Gun thanks for the link, I would like to keep it at 40mm, the 50 mm and up is a little large for my liking, but nice scope. Good talking to you yesterday, boy it is expensive to shoot there, at my range Firing Line, $120.00 for annual membership, shoot everyday all day if you want (not that I could) and free gun rentals.
I may take you up on the offer to look-see if I don't get one soon.
Thanks.~If you don't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them~Comment

I see, we all tend to stay with what we have grown accustom with. Now that he is looking for his own gear he should consider what he will do if he has to replace or repair his equipment. In the military, Uncle Sam paid for repairs and replacements to our toys.Comment

The new property owner keeps raising the rent so, our prices have gone up just to pay the rent. Also, since the new property owners won't renew the lease, we are on a month to month thing and the range owners don't think it's ethical to sell annual memberships when we may not be open in a few months.NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor

The marines are using the S&B 3-12x50 with MTC knob and genII reticle. They are replacing the older Unertls and mst100s (which were fixed 10x). Premier Reticles was closing out that exact scope, as supplied to the marines, for $2275. I still kick myself for not picking one up. I ended up getting the S&B 5-25x56 PMII and its by far the best glass I've ever been behind. A little big for what you want but awesome nonetheless. The 4-16x42 PMII may be in your range. S&B prices have gone up again so expect to pay $3200 plus.My Daughter's ex-boy friend is USMC (Scout Sniper) and Schmidt Bender is the brand they use, very durable, clear picture, and his was fixed 10X. Are you looking for a tactical scope or more of a hunting scope? Either way, check with Alex at eurooptic. He'd be your best bet to get a S&B without much delay.GAP Team Shooter 5Comment

1 - S&B are hands down the best. You pay for it, but they are.
2 - As to where to get one, contact CSGunworks in Sacramento or Cactus Tactical in Phoenix. Both are forum sponsors.
