WTB: Handgun for home defense

Looking for a double-action revolver or semi-auto pistol for home defense. No Glocks unless you've got a killer deal; I've owned one before and I'd like something different.

I'm willing to spend up to around $500. I might be willing to spend a bit more if it's worth it. I reside in North Orange County.
