Forgive me for mentioning, but arn't the KAC RAS the only non firearm item banned as an assault weapon in the text of the California Assault Weapon ban?

            Linky Goodness: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=464096

This is why they are so hard to find / practically extinct here in California.

Believe me I've been getting headaches trying to understand that stupid inclusion. I think it's safe to say that since it's the ONLY part that's specifically named, the idiots who created that list didn't know any better. Since the KAC RAS can't possibly be considered a firearm I can't imagine a DA wanting to prosecute. However, if I'm to become a test case...well hopefully it doesn't come to that lol.

However, seeing as how I can just have an FFL order it, I figure I'm in the clear if I buy used.

Again they're hard to find used because they've been "banned" for so long...

But g'luck on your search. I had a kid on facebook get handed a confiscated one by a law enforcement friend who tried to sell it to me. But he was San Francisco area, so I didn't bite...
