    HELLLO? :( ------------- WTB Mosin M44 or M38 in A++ condition

    What is a m44 or m38 in A++ condition going to cost me?

    Of course I want all serials matching please, with strong rifling and NOT counterbored, NO butt splice, no cracks, metal sling guards (so many have them missing), 98% - 99% bluing ...?

    No replies.. thus far...

    Makes me wonder -- hmmmm.... is the above to much to ask for?

    M44

    Hi,

    I have an M44 I'd sell for $325, but I live in San Jose. Most I've seen on CG are in that price range. Keep checking and maybe one will pop up for less. Also, if obtain your C & R license you could get one for around $240 shipping included.
    Good luck on your search--something will eventually turn up.

    Take care,

    Robert

      They aren't necessarily missing, it depends on the year of manufacture of the stock. Wartime stocks did not have the reinforcement around the rear sling slot and the front slot only had the reinforcement along the bottom. Wartime cost and time savings.

      As for price, what would've cost you $150 a few years back, I wouldn't be suprised if it was close to $300 for an M38, maybe slightly less for an M44. For a mint condition Polish M44, I've seen them >$400.
