I'm in the market for a basic shooter with a Mauser action. Something that's C&R so I can C&C. It doesn't need to be fancy, only shootable. Must have acceptable rifling with strong lands/grooves/crown and no serious safety issues. Ideally 8mm or a .308 conversion, .30-06 is also excellent if available.
The type of gun I'm looking for includes:
German, Czech, Yugo, Turkish, Persian, Israeli .308 conversion, Spanish small-ring .308 conversion or South American .308/.30-06 conversion.
Budget is ideally 200 or less but I'm willing to stretch it a bit.
That is reasonable for a decent Yugo or Spanish Mauser.
Since it'll be a shooter I'm fine with a sporterized gun.
