If you are just looking for a more slippery surface, you should try one of the following:

    molybdenum disulfide powder

    tungsten disulfide powder.

they are both more slippery than Teflon. And they both can take tremendous pressures, unlike Teflon which is very soft. And they both have such a small particle size that they work their way into the pores of whatever they are put on.

Clean the part very well and then rub the powder into the rubbing surfaces of the part. Don’t forget to do the same with what it rubs against.

There’s nothing better. Tungsten disulfide is even used on artificial knee, hip, shoulder, etc. joints that are implanted into the human body.

    Both are available from Amazon.

10-4. I heard the newer Teflon coated trigger bars in the VP9A1s are better and compatible in the older model VP9s and I wanted to give it a try. Thank you for the in-depth explanation and great information!

Many people think that Teflon is the cat’s meow. But it has its limitations. One of the main limitations is that Teflon is soft and easily worn away. Not what you want.

Molybdenum disulfide and tungsten disulfide have coefficients of friction equal to or better than Teflon. Plus they can work under much higher pressures and temperatures.
