What year mfg is yours? My 3 all came in cardboard and styrofoam. BTW, you posted in the wrong forum.

Yes, realized that as soon as I hit the send button. Amends. Mine is a 6 in nickel 1978 model. I know some came as you mentioned & I believe earlier models, maybe Troopers came in the blue plastic boxes. Mine is a closet queen & I'd like to store it in an original Colt Blue Box even if that's incorrect. Thanks.
