    WTB Spotting scope

    Looking to spend around $50 for a spotting scope. Shipping will be OK with me.

                              I just bought a Meade 20-60x60 Zoom Spotting Scope from Costco for only $59.99. It comes with a Tripod and both a hard carrying case and soft carry bag. Haven't had a chance to take it out shooting yet but did set it up and the scope seems pretty clear and of good quality for having paid only $60. The tripod is a little on the flimsy side but a more stable one could be found at a flea market I'm sure.

                              I called the Costco in Temecula and was told they don't have any nor do any other Costcos in the SoCal area so you'd have to buy it through Amazon.com for $63.56 with free shipping. If it was me, I'd definitely try to get Amazon to take greater care and ship it well packed/cushioned to avoid possible damage in transit.

                                      No problem - free long distance is great and I know from experience that not all Costcos carry the same items so figured I'd check yours first before I got your hopes up or sent you on a Wild Goose Chase.
