WTB-shotgun for my niece

I'm not a Shotgunner. But my petite niece wants one for home self defense. I'm thinking a 20 ga. , short side x side. Or a 20 ga pump, w/ a short barrel.

What do you guys think? Brand? cost? Anyone selling one?

My GF has the 20g Mossberg 500 Combo. She has no problem with the recoil and loves to shoot clays in the forest with it. Hard to beat. B5 has them on sale all the time.

I thought they only sold those in the 12 ga. model! I'll put that on the list.

I have a remington 870 express in 20 ga for sale. Less than 100 rounds thru it. 28" barrel, but shorter barrel can be bought. $250.

Nope. The 20g can be harder to find but, if you ask, they should be able to get one for you. BTW, make sure it comes with removable chokes. Some do and some don't. It seems to be luck of the draw.

get a moss 500 with pistol grip and slap a forward vert pump grip on it helps with control and takes some recoil away by spliting it between both arms even a 12g works great my niece shoot its no prob shes 13 and about 90 lbs no prob in taking the recoil
