    WTB Gunsmithing Services!

Well since the gunsmithing/how to forum doesn't get much traffic I am cross posting here.

    I have a Mosin M38 I'm bubba'ing, and the next step is barrel/action work.

I want the barrel shortened to the minimum legal length, recrowned and threaded to mount a standard .30 cal muzzle device.

The action is rough and I'd like it smoothed out, the bolt needs polished and the trigger needs work.

I'm located in Sonoma county - tried gatley gunsmithing (didn't answer) and Independence (said no). Totally willing to travel through the surrounding area to get it worked on by a good gunsmith that can help me out.

    PM works best

        Bump.

I would also of course be able to ship the rifle to a gunsmith that could help me out.

Try Craig Mariovov in Woodland, he's a whiz with rifles.

So I tried Craig... a couple times, as well as gatley gunsmithing again.

Do people not respond to voicemails and emails anymore? Will a carrier pidgeon work?

Anyway, bump. Still looking for a gunsmith.

ar15barrels on this site hase done the barrel work on a mosin.

have you thought about the cost of the gunsmithing? i would guess all that work would be in the $300 range.

Price isn't a big issue, I want a fun scout rifle.
I've tried M24armorer and randall in the past. Both are too busy with other work it seems to hack up a mosin.

Thanks marc for the contact info. Will give it a try.

                          Necro bump.

Tried a few places and they either never responded or said no. I talked to Jim at Predator Customs and after first telling me they would be able to do it and would work me up a price quote; never responded to any more of my emails.

So, does anyone, Anyone at all, know of a gunsmith Anywhere in this country that will answer an email and can do some work on a mosin.
