Hey all,
I run a small home theater installation business in Los Angeles. We do it all from simple plasma/LCD mounting to dedicated screening rooms. Great deals on whole house audio systems, Universal remote controls, Audio/Video receivers, amplifiers and all other audio/video equipment. Currently as work is slow I'm trying to further expand my collection with the addition of an AR; complete, upper, or lower. Ever make it up to Nor-Cal? I want flush wall mount surround system in living room and speakers mounted in each bedroom. Also saw a really cool iPod dock that was built into the wall at a friends house, played through the speaker in each room of the house.

Sorry man don't get up there too often, What part of N. cal?
You could get a good basic distributed audio system around $1,000-$1,500. Expect at least around $250 a pair for decent in ceiling speakers, more for Left,center,right and the surrounds, as little as $500 for a good AVR, and the iport inwall iPod dock as starting at just $200.

Installation and parts are another story but you could get away with a decent system for around 4k. These are all just ballpark and not my prices*

Wish i could recommended a good installer in your area but am not familiar with anyone, feel free to run anything by me if you do find a CI your interested in.
