WTB or Trade Ammo for a dog.

Well my family needs a dog. We are a loving family with 3 kids ages 7,4, and 2. We own our home with a big back yard with plenty of room for a pet. We would like to add a dog to the mix. My wife wants a small dog or puppy Apple Head Chihuahua, Yorkie, Chug, Pom, or ****zu: personally Id like a Springer / Brittney Spaniel. Either way if you have a dog or puppies and are looking for a good home for them please let us know. We are in the Sacramento / Antelope area and thank you!

How about checking the local animal shelters? There's also plenty of rescue societies specific to breeds as well. We got our wonderful Rottweiler from a Rottweiler rescue in Davis.

I have seen some adorable chi-hua=hua mixes in the shelter because of the bad economy. Five years ago when we looked for a dog, there were no small dogs in the shelters around here but now there are tons who have been surrendered so they are already socialized and would adore any new family.

I have no problem paying for a dog I just thought people may prefer ammunition as its so hard to find. Were going to the shelter off Bradshaw today to see what we can find there. The other shelters we've gone to all seem to have allot of pit bulls and not much else. I know they get a bad rap but with two small kids I prefer not to roll the dice on a pit bull. Were also checking on some animal rescue places but the two we checked with prefer no children, im assuming do to the abuse the dogs suffered. Ive met allot of great people through Calguns. I thought id post an add here and see if I can help some one out needing a new home for there pet. Or find some one selling dogs that have been well taken care of and not a puppy farm. Thank you for the Pm I will contact him today. Also thank you to everyone else.

Good luck on finding the new addition to your family.

I think it's really nice of you to help a Calgunner out first by placing your post here. Sorry, but I couldn't give up my dogs or guinea pigs -- even for ammo!

They just flew a bunch of chihuahuas out of SFO to NY on Virgin, first class. The shelters here are overfilled with them, with no one looking for one; whereas back east people still want them.

I get all my dogs either for free from friends etc or go to the popund. Some of my best dogs have been strays or pound puppies.
