I just saw a new shipment of the Colt Series 70s last week. Got to even play with one.

I know they're off-roster etc. but where did you see the new Series 70's?

The new shipment (huge box) was at Triple A's. The guy working the counter at the time I was in picking up my shotgun said the firing pin/block issue that had the Series 70 originally on the banned list (baloney, right?) had been resolved.

The one I was holding was retailing at a little over $900.

He said customers were tired of the nonsense and demanded that Colt bring back the Series 70. Whatever the reason, it made me happy to see that model.
