Not really practical given our geographic differences, but we would be talking if you were in the Bay Area.

I have a Rem700 in 7mm RemMag and an AR15 that I'd be willing to trade for that. Can you give me more details on the motor/drivetrain and gears. Can it make the trip up to Fresno? Thanks

here is some info: 1985 Cj7 with a rubicon express 4.5" lift. 15x10 street lock wheels on 35" BFG muds with only about 200 miles on them. also has a new carb and clutch, brakes, its the stock 6cyl with a 5 speed manual T-5. stock gears in the axle..the Jeep runs but needs a new battery. also the speedo stop working on me out of nowhere but could be a bad fuse...Registered as Non Op.. i would keep it but i have a 67 mustang i want to start and this has been sitting in my back yard for over a year now..

the only time i ever drove it on the highway i was scared... it def needs a steering stab if your going to consider driving it 65+

got any pics of the gun? specs on the Ar.. and sorry for the dumb question but that 700 is what caliper? im looking for a 30-06, 308 or .223

The Rem 700 is chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum. Fairly comparable to 30.06 and a great hunting cartridge. Includes a scope. I can include ammo, brass and bullets if you wanted it. I'll pick one of my ARs and send you some pics this evening. I was going to sell a rifle to buy a motor for a scout that I am rebuilding, but this might be a quicker route to a trail rig.

How's the electrical? Any rust/body damage?

well im not going to hunt anything.. i was looking more for something i can target shoot and the rounds were cheap.. i have 1 16" AR right now and would only be looking for another to make into a sniper rifle if i cant get a Rem 700

the jeep has rust spots on the rear quarter panels and some on the rear bed right under where the rear seat normally goes... electrical is sketchy.. it runs and the only gauge that doesnt work is the speedo but it was working before... if it were me i would def get a painless wire kit (about 500 bucks) and rewire the whole thing if your thinking of keeping that engine.. i was planning on putting a 350 so i was going to rewire the whole thing with the new engine....

the frame is good, body is ok, but i spend the majority of my money on the susp, tires, and wheels... and to get it running better like the clutch, carb, brakes, ect....

hope that helps answer some questions.. if you need any specific pics let me know and ill go out and take some
