    WTB/T Smolt, Smython, S&W + Python

Looking for one of the custom conversions of a K frame Smith and Wesson married to a Colt Python barrel known commonly as a Smolt. Bill Davis built one for me as a duty gun 30 years ago, and I stupidly let it get away, (damn you house payments...). Mine was built on a model 66 round butt with a 4" Python barrel, and that would be perfect, but others would be entertained. I'd want it built by someone who knew what they were doing.

I could just get another built, and that's probably what I'll end up doing, but I thought I'd see if someone had one that I could talk them out of. I have a good size collection of other stuff, along with accessories and lots of cases of ammunition, all that I'm into for much lower than today's prices, and I'd prefer a trade.

Got one that I could make you a deal on?

Good luck with your search. I have two of the Ruger/Colt hybrids Bill built for my dad in the early '80s. Amazing revolvers to shoot.

My friends and family disavow all knowledge of my existence, let alone my opinions.

Good looking guns! Bill built me a Cougar as well. Had a fantastic action. Let that one get away as well He also did the action on a Speed Six for me, which thankfully, I still have.

Yeah, that lower gun is a "Rattler." It's a Speed Six frame mated to a Colt King Cobra barrel cut down to 3". Awesome revolver. It's amazing the magic Bill could work on the Ruger action.

When I was a kid, he built me a S&W .22 J-Frame mated to a 4" Colt Woodsman match barrel (the one with the underlug) as a Christmas present. A dream revolver for a kid. Unfortunately, it was stolen in a burglary years back.

Good luck with your search. You have good tastes.
