    WTB 1 AR15 detent spring

Just received my AR rifle kit a few days ago and while it was being assembled, the detent spring decided to spring away. A search was negative.

Does anyone who lives relatively close to the French Valley/Murrieta/Temecula area, happen to have an extra one I can buy. I want to do a FTF.

None of the stores I've checked have any and if I order this $.65 spring from Del-ton (where I bought the kit) or anywhere else for that matter, the shipping will probably be 10x that.

    Thanks.

Don't you just hate that, happens to me all the time, I learned to keep a couple of spares detent and springs for those "Oh sh*t there it goes" moments. Someone give him a spring--quick!

I have one I can give you and ship it to you on my dime. It might take a week to get there since I'm in North Carolina but it will get there.

PM me your address an I will send it to you right away!

Thank you for the offer xxG3xx, I certainly appreciate it. Jegonzo3 offered to do the same yesterday and as he said, I was just waiting to see if there was someone close to me that I can do a FTF with.

Jegonzo3, I will take you up on your offer since no one locally has posted. Thanks. I will pm you with the necessary info.

Wait-- I can mail one to you, since I'm closer to you up here in Northern Cali. It may get to you in a couple of days rather than a week. PM me with your address and I'll mail it out first thing tomorrow morning.

If nobody locally too, I ordered a half a dozen a while back because they're dirt cheap and always flying out. Look into the rear takedown detent mod because its worth every penny.

                    Cheers!

Yeah, I mentioned that too him.

dalokster, I've got him taken care of, I'm in the Sacramento area.

Okay then. But if you lose it when attempting to put it into the envelope, I got your back

I want to thank everyone for offering to help out and especially jegonzo3, as he is sending me one.

That is another reason I like this site so much; the generosity of the members here.

Now, if I can just get someone to send me a M1Garand.
